Welcome to a celebration of people, light and the stories it reveals.

Open Studio

A conversation giving context
to Home and Away with Friends.

[Still] In Progress.
[To be] edited, adjusted, and lived with.

This came out of an Open Studio collaboration I was part of.
We had just finished shooting and building the set when the conversation started to open up, moving from the work itself
into how I approach photography, working with people, and the ideas that would later become the series At Home With Friends.

It wasn’t planned. Just a moment of pause after everything had been moving.
Looking back, it feels like one of the clearer reflections of where I was at the time,
how I was thinking about presence, collaboration, and the environments that shape the work.

The conversation goes beyond the shoot itself.
It sits somewhere between documentation and reflection.
A way of understanding the process while still being inside it.

This sits alongside the ongoing development of At Home With Friends; not as a finished statement, but as part of the thinking around it.
I’m grateful to Oba for putting this together, Oyin for the footage and everyone who was a part of bringing this to life.
