Welcome to a celebration of people, light and the stories it reveals.
Self Portraits
Status: Ongoing (Annual) • Medium: Photography, Compositing, & Art Direction • Collaborators: VariousWhat started as a way to pass the time and sharpen my technical skills has quietly grown into one of my most consistent creative anchors.
When I first began exploring self-portraiture, it was a sandbox for experimentation.
I remember using some of the earliest series to play around with complex composites and challenge myself technically.
But over time, the project evolved into something much deeper.
Now, this side quest has taken on three distinct layers:
A Yearly Time Capsule: It has become an annual endeavor to document and commemorate the act of getting older.
An Emotional Outlet: I use these sessions to communicate and understand how I'm feeling, translating internal headspaces into visual concepts.
Pure Creation: Beyond the introspection, it’s simply a space to get ideas out of my head, experiment with lighting, and just take cool photos.
While these are self-portraits, the process hasn't been lonely. I’ve been fortunate enough to collaborate with a lot of my friends on these projects.
I love the entire lifecycle of it. From the initial messy ideation to seeing how the final results come together. It is a deeply rewarding medium.
Eventually, I hope to exhibit a curated selection of these pieces in a physical space. But until then, this is a living archive of where I've been,
how I'm growing, and what I've worked on so far.
